Data on beetles (Coleoptera) in the collection of professor Uunio Saalas (1882-1969, known as Unio Sahlberg until 1906). Most of the specimens have been collected in Finland and the regions ceded by Finland to Soviet Union after World War II. In addition to specimens collected by Saalas himself, his collection includes material collected by his father John Sahlberg and various contemporary colleagues. (en)

Suurin osa näytteistä on kerätty Suomesta tai Neuvostoliitolle toisen maailmansodan jälkeen luovutetuilta entisiltä Suomen alueilta. Saalaan omien näytteiden lisäksi kokoelma sisältää hänen isänsä John Sahlbergin sekä muiden aikalaisten keräämää materiaalia. (fi)
