Description
Parthenium weed is an annual weed of the Asteroideae / Compositae subfamily, Asterales, which is now widely present in warm, temperate, subtropical and tropical zones. It is harmful to livestock farming because it invades pastures and poisons domestic animals, and torments people by causing potentially life-threatening allergic symptoms. In Europe, it has been found a couple of times, as an occasional alien.
